I have very mixed feelings regarding autumn.
In theory it is a very nice season. Even here in Germany where it tends to be rainy and cold, we have beautiful, sunny days with a crisp air. Leaves do change in wonderful colours although most years we have only a few days to enjoy it before rain washes them down from the trees and turns them into brown mush. Still, I would enjoy it, if…
I didn’t have to work all.day.long. I’m only exaggerating a little bit! Today I left home when day was just dawning. I would return shortly before dusk (if I hadn’t an appointment after work). Doesn’t make for a lot of sun or even light to enjoy outside during my day. And it’s only beginning of October so in two weeks time I will be whining that I only see daylight trough my work windows.
Plus! Even though temperatures might still be pleasantly warm, it’s already quite cold during the night – and when I’m leaving for work! (And dressing is already another touchy subject of mine.)
My packed schedule doesn’t allow for many (parts of) days to enjoy a hot drink on the couch with my blankie, watching the weather or reading a book. (And if I do so it’s rarely guilt-free.)
But I hope to be able to enjoy what I can get now, because it will only get worse for about four to five months before we can hope again for improvement.
And I’m working on de-stressing my life. Unfortunately I cannot tell you anything about it because I don’t know who’s reading along on here. But as soon as changes are coming about I’ll let you know.
Happy autumn for you!
